Is Going to a Chiropractor safe?
It’s inevitable when you try something for the first time, you are bound to have questions. Here are the answers to some of the most common questions people ask about chiropractic care:
A: No way – chiropractic care should never hurt. It is common to feel sore the next day after your very first adjustment. We liken it to how you feel after a great workout in the gym. After the first, initial adjustment most patients continue care and don’t feel any soreness at all after adjustments. Many of our patients who see us for pain, feel better the instant they get adjusted.
No! Chiropractic care has been shown to improve quality of life, help with sleep, digestion and improve athletic performance. Chiropractic care is about teaching you how to holistically take care of your body, not just get out of pain.
A: We have various techniques and tools that enable us to do an adjustment without the popping and cracking noise. Just let us know what you would prefer and we will take care of you.
A: Ultimately, the choice is yours. Whether you are just looking to get out of pain or if you are hoping to achieve a healthier lifestyle, we always provide recommendations within your Individualized Care Plan but the choice is always yours!
At Sozo Family Chiropractic we don’t accept insurance because we didn’t want our patients to have to pay expensive copays and have yearly limits in regards to their care. If you have an HSA/FSA card, we do accept those in our office. We encourage you to schedule a consultation because like so many of our other patients, after we present you with your individualized care plan, you may find that it is cheaper than what it would cost if you were using your insurance.
Absolutely! The neck and back are just one of the many areas that can be adjusted. Any extremity (shoulders, wrists, knees, ankles, jaw, etc) can also be adjusted to help overall movement and any pain you may be having.
Schedule a consultation to meet the doctors, view our office and learn more about how we can help you.
